SALADO, Texas —
A global health pandemic couldn’t stop a local community from showing a teen birthday love.
Friends and family of 18-year-old Taylor Rich drove past the teen’s Salado home, while they honked, cheered and showed signs of support for the girl stuck at home on her birthday.
“All of them pulling together to do this for me just proves how amazing people are,” Rich said.
She said that seeing her loved ones in this difficult time made her feel thankful and emotional.
“I could not contain it. I had to cry cause it was just overflowing. It still is. That's probably the happiest I've ever been in my life,” Rich said.
One of the supporters happy to see her friendly smile is Charity Pryor. She’s been friends with Rich since a young age and said if the shoe was on the other foot, Rich would do the same for her.
“Being able to do this drive by has allowed us to show her love and support on her birthday. To still show her that and how much we love her,” Pryor said.
