KILLEEN, Texas — Cities and law enforcement agencies across Central Texas are urging drivers to exercise extreme caution while traveling on Monday, Jan. 15.
The Arctic Blast has brought ice and snow to many roadways, creating dangerous driving conditions.
The City of Killeen has temporarily closed a few bridges and overpasses after ice accumulated on them overnight.
According to the City, the following bridges have been closed:
- North WS Young Bridge is closed from East Veterans Memorial Boulevard to Atkinson Avenue until further notice
- Willow Springs Road Bridge
- Jasper Road Bridge
Drivers are asked to use extreme caution while driving in wintry conditions, allow extra time for your trip and maintain considerable distance between yourself and other cars.
