Another Chilly Morning; Warmer Temperatures for the Weekend | Central Texas Forecast

Chilly mornings, warm afternoons ahead with some in the 80s by Sunday

TEMPLE, Texas — TODAY/TONIGHT: In similar fashion to yesterday, we're kicking things off in the 30s under mostly clear skies. A weak front is moving through; it won't really impact our temps but essentially is reinforcing dry air and winds out of the north for a brief period. We'll go up into the 70s for highs this afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

TOMORROW: Here comes a warming trend; middle to upper 70s with breezy conditions at times, otherwise mostly sunny skies in place.

EXTENDED: After starting out our mornings in the 40s and 50s, we'll be all the way up into the lower 80s by Sunday. We'll start next week in much the same way, with temperatures in the upper 70's and lower 80's Monday afternoon. The first of two expected cold fronts will sweep through, though, Monday into Tuesday and will bring temperatures into the lower 70's for Tuesday and Wednesday. ANOTHER cold front moves across Wednesday and high temperatures could be back in the 60's by Thanksgiving day. Here's the deal, the second front COULD bring rain chances Wednesday and Thanksgiving BUT at the moment, it looks like the best rain chances will be across portions of EAST Texas. All of that to say, don't cancel the annual front yard football game just yet. It's still early, though, and this forecast could change as we get closer.
