Inclement weather could impact early voting in Central Texas

The Bell County Elections Office says that rain could impact the availability of curbside voting.

BELL COUNTY, Texas — The Bell County Elections Office is wanting to make voters aware that rain chances can affect the availability of curbside voting at polling locations.

“If it is actively raining, we have to suspend curbside voting,” Elections Administrator Desi Roberts said. “This is both to protect the paper ballot and the voting machine used to vote on it.”

They added that in the event of a storm,  the Elections Office will work to make curbside voting available as quickly as they can.

The Elections office is urging voters that plan to use curbside voting to check the forecast before heading to the polls. 6 News' WEATHER IMPACT ALERT forecast can be found here.
