Police surround areas of Bridgewater Retreat Apartments in Killeen

Neighbors said police were in the area for a couple of hours. 6 News reporter Cole Johnson heard police calling for someone to come out of an apartment.

KILLEEN, Texas — A heavy police presence was seen in Killeen late Sunday night at the Bridgewater Retreat Apartments, three days after a 'mentally unstable' man was accused of shooting randomly around the apartment and the surrounding neighborhood.

6 News reporter Cole Johnson heard authorities on a loudspeaker calling for someone to come out of an apartment in the complex. A K9 was also used. 

After a few hours at the complex, the scene was cleared, no details were made available.

On Thursday, police said Nathan Erick Nance, 43, went around the Bridgewater Apartments, where he lives, and the surrounding areas shooting objects randomly. An extensive search was underway, but authorities were unable to locate him. No one was injured during the shootings but there was property damage.
