WACO, Texas — With severe thunderstorms once again in the forecast for parts of Central Texas, Waco ISD announced Friday that they would be postponing the Waco High School graduation by one day.
The new date and time is Saturday, May 25 at 8 p.m., and will be held at the Waco ISD stadium. Gates will open an hour and a half prior to the ceremony, at 6:30 p.m.
A clear bag policy will be in effect for the ceremony, and those in attendance will need to pass through metal detectors in order to enter. Concessions will not be sold, but water in clear bottles will be allowed.
The district says the decision was made out of an abundance of caution.
