ROCKDALE, Texas — A suspect that was wanted in connection to a shooting that took place in Rockdale in the evening on Saturday, Nov. 16 has been captured, according to the Milam County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say the suspect turned themselves into custody without incident around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19. They are facing charges of Capital Murder, a Capital Felony, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony.
According to the Rockdale Police Department, that day, around 7:23 p.m., officers in Rockdale were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of East 4th Street for a shots fired call. When they arrived, they found a 20-year-old had been shot multiple times. A short distance away, in the 200 block of 4th Street, a second 22-year-old victim was found to have been shot multiple times as well.
Police say both were taken to the Rockdale Airport to be rushed to the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, but the 22-year-old that had been shot, identified as Christopher Flores, died from his injuries at the airport.
Rockdale Police stated in their original report of the shooting that they believed the shooting to be targeted and was connected to an attempted robbery.
No new information on the status of the 20-year-old that was hospitalized, identified by police as Trevor Everage, was provided.
Officials say that while an investigation into the case is still active, no other "actors" are suspected to be involved, and there is no current danger to the public.
