KILLEEN, Texas — An investigation into a 53-year-old woman who was shot dead in Killeen has resulted in one man being arrested and charged with murder.
According to the Killeen Police Department, late at night on Monday, Sept. 9, officers went to the 2700 block of Taft Street for a welfare check, and found a woman had been shot. She was pronounced dead shortly after midnight and was identified as Elizabeth Rosario Quick.
When the report of the death investigation came out, police said it was a domestic case.
In the days after the report of Quick's death, detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division submitted a case to the Bell County District Attorney's Office to charge a man with murder. The man, named on Thursday, Sept. 12 as 54-year-old William Charles Quick, was arrested and booked into the Killeen City Jail.
According to KPD, Associate Judge Randy Dale has set his bond at $250,000.
