Bond set for man charged with murder of 18-year-old in Killeen

Jacorri Zahary Stevenson has been charged with Murder for shooting and killing Octavion Keshun Tucker on Sept. 19.

An Austin man has been charged with Murder in a shooting that took place in Killeen on Thursday, Sept. 19.

According to an update from the Killeen Police Department on Sunday, Sept. 22, the suspect in that shooting was brought into custody after a warrant was issued for his arrest the day prior, on Saturday, Sept. 21, by Killeen Robbery-Homicide Detectives. He was taken to the Killeen City Jail for shooting and killing Octavion Keshun Tucker, 18.

The day the shooting took place, Killeen PD were notified of a shooting around midday, and discovered Octavion Tucker had been shot in the 2200 block of Botanical Drive. He was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White in critical condition, but later died from his injuries.

The shooting is counted as the 16th murder in the City of Killeen this year.

After the suspect, Jacorri Zahary Stevenson, 19, was taken into custody and booked, he was moved to the Bell County Jail on a Murder charge and his bond was set at $1 million.
