A suspect that was at the center of a homicide that happened in late February in Waco has been arrested in Arlington.
According to the Waco Police Department, Amani Gibson, 25, was arrested in Arlington on Tuesday, Oct. 1. He is being charged with murder and is custody in a north Texas jail while proceedings for him to be moved to McLennan County take place in court.
Waco PD says they were aided by the U.S. Marshal's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Arlington Police Department in arresting Gibson, who shot a man and two girls on Feb. 24 in the 600 block of Ruby Avenue around 3 a.m. after a fight broke out.
The two girls survived being shot, but the man, identified as Winfred Talley Jr. 39, died at a local hospital.
