BRUCEVILLE-EDDY, Texas — A second suspect has been arrested and is facing a capital murder charge in the double murder of two men in Bruceville-Eddy.
According to an affidavit from the Bruceville-Eddy Police Department, an arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday, Oct. 9 for Alyssa Sevilla, 30, for her role in the shootings of Michael Morris and Braxton Johnson at the Mackey Ranch Road and Old Moody Road intersection on Saturday, Oct. 5.
After Sevilla's boyfriend, Romi Frentescu, allegedly shot Morris and Johnson, he called her to pick him up from where the shooting took place. He has been arrested and is in custody on two counts of capital murder for allegedly shooting Morris and Johnson that evening.
A statement from a witness on Tuesday, Oct. 8 stated that the incident occurred after a suspect was revving their motorcycle motor near them and Morris revving and showed a gun. Morris chased after him on his motorcycle to the intersection where the shooting took place ready for a fight. Johnson, who was in a truck that drove to where the incident occurred, jumped out and was reportedly shot alongside Morris.
According to the affidavit, the suspect pointed the gun at the witness, according to their statement, but they managed to get back in their truck. The witness did hit a pole and a motorcycle while attempting to get away, but the suspect walked towards the car until a red Chevy truck arrived, and he jumped in, shortly after leaving the scene of the incident.
Sevilla is currently in the McLennan County Jail and is being held on a $500,000 bond for a capital murder charge.
