WACO, Texas — McLennan County officials have released an affidavit on a suspect after a DoorDash driver was allegedly injured in a crash on May 21.
According to the affidavit, authorities have reason to believe that Lutetia Vollintine was "involved in an accident resulting in injury or death of a person" on May 21, 2024.
The affidavit, signed by Judge Robert Garcia, states that Waco Police Officers were dispatched to Mountainview Drive and Morningside Drive on May 21 to a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
The victim was reportedly traveling north on Mountainview Drive on a motorcycle when Vollintine "did not complete her stop" at a stop sign while traveling east on Morningside Drive, causing the victim to crash into the side of her vehicle.
The affidavit states Vollintine drove away from the scene without stopping and rendering aid.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he sustained a concussion, a broken rib and received stitches and staples in his head, according to the affidavit.
The affiant named in the affidavit, Cynthia Tynes, reportedly spoke to Vollintine, who according to the affidavit "was aware that someone struck her car but she felt the victim was at fault".
The affidavit states Tynes believes there is enough probable cause to arrest Vollintine for Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
