WACO, Texas — The Waco Animal Shelter is having another round of Empty The Shelters National Adoption Event through Wednesday, July 31.
Dogs and cats over 1-year-old are free to adopt while puppies and kittens under 1-year-old are $50. Normally, the pets over the age of 1 are $70 and $100 for those under 1.
All adoptions come with a spay/neuter surgery, microchipping and vaccines, according to the shelter.
All adoptable pets can be viewed on the shelter website or in person at 2032 Circle Rd.
This event comes just days after the shelter announced they are accepting donations for summer items. Donations are still being taken and can be dropped off at the shelter or any of the four Waco-McLennan library locations:
- South Waco Library, 2737 S. 18th St.
- East Waco Library, 901 Elm Ave.
- Central Library, 1717 Austin Ave.
- West Waco Library, 5301 Bosque Blvd.
