Troy restaurant donates full profits to family of three children who died in crash

The three children died in a rollover crash May 27 near mile marker 312 on the I-35 service road, according to the Troy Police Department.

TROY, Texas — The tragic death of three children in Troy has rallied behind the family affected and is working to give back.

Landon Kinsey, 17, Kiersten Kinsey, 18, and Bentley Swain, 5, died in a rollover car crash on the IH-35 service road at mile marker 312 May 27.

To support the family, owner of Between the Bunz Burger Restaurant donated 100% of their food sales Tuesday directly to the family.

"I think everybody needs that support as much as possible, Carrion explained. "We need to be there for them in anyway we can be."

Their food items range from burgers, drinks and more, and over 30 people in the community came out to support the cause.

"We are apart of the community so one of the things is that we are veterans," Motorcycle club chaplain Marc George explained. "When we see a family that's hurting when we see you need, we want to get together and try to help with that need."

Carrion says this isn't the first time they've donated all of their proceeds to a cause, but he's willing to do whatever he can to support the  community.

"I have two kids myself," Carrion added. "I  couldn't imagine that. I think everybody needs that support as much as possible. We try to give the family their space which is what they need but also be there for them as well in anyway we can be."

For those who were not able to attend the event, there is a GoFundMe set up on behalf of the family.
