TROY, Texas — Three people are dead after a rollover crash near mile marker 312 on the I-35 service road, according to the Troy Police Department.
Troy PD stated officers were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover around 5:45 p.m. on Monday, May 27. 911 callers reportedly said multiple people were thrown from the vehicle during the crash.
According to police, all four people in the vehicle were under the age of 18, and all four were thrown from the vehicle during the crash.
Troy PD said three of the people died at the scene. One person was reportedly taken to Baylor Scott & White with "unknown injuries".
Troy PD said according to the preliminary investigation, they believe the vehicle left the roadway on the southbound service road, which caused the vehicle to roll.
Troy PD said families involved wished for the victims not to be identified so that other family members could be notified. The crash is still being investigated, said police.
