MARLIN, Texas — The City of Marlin has addressed and repaired all known water leaks within the city, as of 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.
Despite the repairs, Stage 4 water restrictions and the Boil Water Notice are still in place for residents.
On Wednesday, Jan. 24, the city put out a notice stating that it would be entering Stage 4 of its Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan.
According to the notice, this move was made based on the current water outages and pressure issues happening around the city, as well as recommendations from the Public Works Director.
While the water leaks have been fixed, the focus has now shifted to the task of refilling the city's three water towers.
The city request the cooperation of all citizens, visitors, and businesses in continuing to practice water conservation measures.
If residents observe water leaks between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, they are advised to call (254) 883-1450 and selecting the Water Office voice prompt.
