Severe storms are in the forecast in Central Texas for Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the 6 News Weather Team.
Tuesday starts out with the potential for rain during the morning commute. The potential for storms, including severe, ramps up later in the day. Most of Central Texas was under a level slight risk for Tuesday.
The greater chance for severe weather is on Wednesday with the northern part of the area in a level three risk and the southern half in a level two.
The largest threat will be damaging winds followed by hail. As of the time this article was written, there didn't look to be any risk of tornadoes for our area, but as we know this could change. This activity will take place as a very strong cold front sweeps through the area.
A few lingering showers will take place Thursday morning, but we should be back to sunny quiet weather in the wake of the front by the afternoon.
A quick warm-up will take place by end the work week, but won’t be long-lived. Another strong front Friday night will bring back the below average, but still pleasant weather for the weekend.
