TEMPLE, Texas — Central Texans woke up Thursday to up to an inch of snow on the ground after a frigid Wednesday night.
Enjoy it while you can, because by afternoon the sun will be shining bright and our winter wonderland will be all melted.

As for the rest of the day, look for highs under sunny skies to top out near 49°. Westerly winds 10 to 15 mph Thursday will make for another chilly day.
Sunshine will continue to dominate the forecast through Saturday. Highs return to the lower-60s Friday and Saturday. Clouds and even warmer temperatures return move in Sunday. Expect highs to reach near 70°. A few isolated showers are possible late Sunday ahead of our next storm system
