Salado residents share videos, photos as hail hits Central Texas

Residents shared videos and photos of hail from one to two inches and beyond as severe storms swept across Central Texas.

SALADO, Texas — Salado, Texas was battered by hail as severe storms swept across Central Texas on Tuesday, April 9.

6 News viewers sent in videos and photos of hailstones that had fallen in their yards, ranging from one to two inches across to around half the size of a baseball.

One resident even shared a video of hail splashing into their pool as it rained down.

Central Texas had faced flooding and severe weather throughout the day, with many counties across the area being placed under Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and even Flash Flood Warnings through the morning and evening.

Severe weather caused road closures across the cities of Temple and Belton, with water flooding over multiple roads in the area, causing shutdowns, road closures and even causing one driver to become submerged in the water
