TEMPLE, Texas — Central Texans woke up to hail Mother's Day morning -- some big enough to cause damage to vehicles -- as severe thunderstorms rolled through the area.
Residents shared photos and videos with 6 News, showing hail ranging in size from as small as dimes to as large as limes.

By the end of it, a layer of hail covered many residents' lawns in Belton, Harker Heights, Temple and Copperas Cove.

A Flash Flood Warning was later issued on Mother's Day for Bell, Falls, Limestone and McLennan Counties until 1:15 p.m. following the hail storms.
Per the National Weather Service, Flash Flood Warnings are issued when flash flooding is imminent or happening now. If you live in a flood prone area, you're urged to immediately move to high ground.
