List | Vaccine cancellations

Here are other vaccine sites in our area that also closed due to severe winter weather conditions.

TEMPLE, Texas — Due to the hazardous winter weather conditions, locations across Central Texas are rescheduling when their COVID-19 vaccination clinics and testing sites are open.

Baylor Scott & White

From Baylor Scott & White

While Baylor Scott & White hospitals remain open, it has closed its drive-thru COVID-19 testing until Wednesday, Feb. 17.

In person and vaccine appointments for Tuesday, Feb. 16 and Wednesday, Feb. 17 will be rescheduled.

Updates will be posted on BSWHealth.com and news.bswhealth.com

Bell County

Three of the county's vaccination centers were closed due to weather.

For everyone scheduled to receive their first doses from either the Sammons Community Center in Temple or the Killeen Community Center, their booking will automatically be shifted by one week. For example, a person who was scheduled to receive their first dose on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. from the Sammons Community Center, will now be scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25 at the same time.

County officials have a plan for shifting second dose appointments scheduled at the Bell County Expo, which they hope to announce soon. They encourage folks to not cancel their appointment as those appointments are all still guaranteed a dose.

Bell County health officials are closely monitoring weather conditions for the rest of the week, the county said.

Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center

Along with its medical center, its primary care clinics, COVID-19 vaccine site and COVID-19 testing sites will remain closed through Friday, Feb. 19.

The hospital remains open for emergency services, inpatient care, and labor and delivery services, they added. Pharmacies and laboratory services will be closed.

For more details on the closures and what that means for any previously scheduled appointments, check out the post's full release.

Waco

If you missed your appointment last week and are due for a second dose will be contacted for an appointment Friday and Saturday.

After those are scheduled, we will contact those in the 1A and 1B phases of the DSHS directive who are signed up on our waitlist.

They are still waiting to hear about their next shipment of vaccines.

The Texas Department of Emergency Management has closed public COVID-19 testing sites until Feb. 18.

Ascension Providence

Ascension Providence will continue with already scheduled second-dose vaccine appointments for patients who can safely make their appointment. On Saturday, Ascension Providence will offer COVID-19 first-dose vaccines to high-risk Waco ISD and Midway ISD school staff who are 65 years old and older, or who have a pre-existing chronic medical condition, in alignment with DSHS Phase 1B vaccine priority guidelines. This is a limited vaccine administration pilot for both school districts in partnership with Ascension Providence. It is estimated more than 700 school district staff in the priority groups will receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the Saturday clinic, weather permitting.
