CHINA SPRING, Texas — Severe weather impacted Central Texas on Friday and left a China Spring neighborhood with damage. Strong winds and heavy rain that people described as "tornado-like", ran through a subdivision causing not only fear but significant damage as well.
"I was outside five minutes before," Jermaine Carpenter said. "And the minute I went inside, I heard all these noises on the roof. I thought it was air but when I went outside my roof was in my front yard."
Shingles covered yards and streets, trampolines were wedged on fences and air conditioners were turned upside down.
"We spent the day helping each other out. A few of us went around the block to see if everyone was OK," Nial Kelly said.
No one was injured during the storm.
