TEMPLE, Texas — Temple police reopened I-35 northbound between exits 299 and 301 just after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The department posted to Facebook around 3:45 p.m. that its officers were re-routing traffic to put down sand.
Many other area police departments and emergency agencies issued warnings about roads being covered in a sheet of ice. You'll find them below.
Copperas Cove
Copperas Cove police posted to Facebook that black ice was throughout the city. The following roads were closed:
- Ash Street
- Bonnie Lane
- Colorado Drive
- Dryden Avenue
- Freedom Lane
- Geri Drive
- Hillside Street
- Mueller Street
- N. 7th Street
- Ogletree Pass
- Pecan Cove
Hewitt
Hewitt police said the bridge on S. Hewitt over Spring Valley and the fly-over from Spring Valley to I-35 was iced over.
Killeen
The City of Killeen closed the W.S. Young Drive Bridge Monday. The police department posted to Facebook Tuesday morning that cars were spinning of the roads on State Highway 195.
An officer with Killeen police said in a Facebook live around 8:45 a.m. that a vehicle lost control on westbound I-14 and rolled over.

Milam
Milam County Sheriff Mike Clore said Highway 79 was closed at the overpass in Gause. Traffic was rerouted to County Road 356 to County Road 354.
Waco
Around 11 a.m., a crash was reported on I-35 northbound at N Loop 340 causing one lane closure.
Waco police also said the Herring bridge was closed due to the icy conditions.
The Waco Fire Department also tweeted it had responded to multiple accidents and fall injuries.

West
West EMS posted a video to its Facebook of a semi-truck that had jack-knifed off I-35.
TxDOT
The Texas Department of Transportation said it was in 24-hour operations. Crews were pretreating roads and interstates and other problem areas. Visit drivetexas.org or call 800-452-9292 for the latest road conditions.
As of 9 a.m. the interactive map from TxDOT showed nearly every highway impacted by ice.
