WACO, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety announces road closures starting from  Nolan Creek to FM 439. Traffic will be reduced to one lane.

The closures are for continued milling and striping operations on SL 121 and will start next March 28, according to TxDOT.

The closures are set until April 1, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be various closures performed during these operations.

This work is part of an ongoing project to widen SL 121 from West Avenue O to Sparta Road to a four-lane divided highway, add shared-use paths and sidewalks and add a two-way left turn lane from Sparta Road to FM 439, as reported by TxDOT.

Drivers should expect delays in the area, as stated by the department.

TxDOT encourages drivers to pay attention, mind their speed and eliminate distractions driving through work zones.
