WACO, Texas — Various lane closures will take place along SH 6 in Waco this week as crews continue work on the Mall to Mall project, announced the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
Beginning on the evening of Monday, July 8, TxDOT said all westbound lanes from the SH 6 westbound on-ramp east of I-35 to just east of Bagby Avenue will be closed, along with the I-35 northbound direct connector to westbound SH 6.
TxDOT said the closures are expected to take place between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, and will allow crews to remove barriers throughout the project limits.
Beginning on the evening of Thursday, July 11, crews will also close all eastbound SH 6 lanes from west of US 84 to the bridge just east of US 84, said TxDOT. The closure is also reportedly planned to take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning.
TxDOT said additional "various" road closures of ramps and frontage road lanes will take place throughout the week. Drivers are asked to mind their speed and watch for crews in work zones.
