TxDOT to move 'VERY large load' through Bosque County Aug. 7-8, traffic to be impacted

Bosque County said traffic is expected to be impacted on SH-6, FM-2136 and SH-22 as the load travels through.

BOSQUE COUNTY, Texas — A "VERY large load" will pass through Bosque County beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 7, causing impacts to traffic, announced the Bosque County Office of Emergency Management (BCOEM).

According to BCOEM, the process is being managed by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

BCOEM said the load will move along SH-6 from Valley Mills towards Clifton on Aug. 7, and is expected to park at the Clifton Sale Barn that evening.

On Thursday, Aug. 8, the load is planned to move north on SH-6 through Clifton to FM 2136, then take FM 2136 west towards SH-22. The load will then reportedly travel on SH-22 through The Gap and out of Bosque County, according to BCOEM.

BCOEM said this is the same load and route that they experienced a few months prior. BCOEM said traffic is expected to impacted on SH-6 on Aug. 7 and on FM 2136 and SH-22 on Aug. 9 and possibly Aug. 10.

All times and dates are estimated by TxDOT, stated BCOEM.
