WACO, Texas — TxDOT Waco District announced that crews will begin winter weather pretreatment of major roadways in Central Texas on Monday, Oct. 30.
According to TxDOT, the chance of potential wintery conditions has made crews mobilize in an effort to lower the freezing point of moisture on the roadway's surfaces with the use of a brine solution.
Crews will be out treating I-35, I-14 and additional State and U.S. Highways within the Waco District counties.
TxDOT reminds drivers to buckle up, drive in concurrence with the weather conditions, increase distance between you and other cars and to be extra cautious on bridges and overpasses.
