BELL COUNTY, Texas — Bridge replacements will begin along FM 1123 in Bell County on Wednesday, Aug. 7, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
TxDOT said bridge replacements will include Cathey Creek north of Holland, Moon Branch near Landfill Road and Runnels Creek west of Center Lake Road.
Crews will begin with Cathey Creek bridge, according to TxDOT, where a full closure will be in place for around six months. The department encourages drivers to take alternate routes, such as SH 95 and FM 2268.
The project overall is scheduled to end in early 2026, according to TxDOT. It will reportedly cost around $5.2 million and is being undertaken by C.E. Barker, LTD.
