LORENA, Texas — Two people are dead after a wrong-way driver collided into another vehicle in Lorena Wednesday, according to Texas DPS.
Troopers were called out to the two-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 near mile marker 326 involving 2019 Chevy Cruz sedan and a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup.
The driver of the Chevy, a 72-year-old Willie David Jackson of Bryan, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-35 in Lorena, troopers said in a news release. The driver of the Sierra, 20-year-old Warren James Hadley of Round Rock, was driving northbound and collided with Jackson head-on.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene just before 1 a.m.
No other information was released.
