Traffic signal along Poison Oak Road to be fully operational on March 4

The City of Temple said the new signal is part of the Poison Oak Road Realignment Project.

TEMPLE, Texas — Attention Temple drivers, the traffic light at the intersection of Poison Oak Road and SH 317 is set to be fully operational on Monday, March 4, according to the City of Temple.

The City made the announcement in a post on social media. According to the City, the light is part of the Poison Oak Road Realignment Project, which also includes widening the current 20-foot pavement section to a four-lane roadway with a raised median, a sidewalk, utilities, street lighting and landscaping.

Construction will continue in the area, said the City. Drivers should be prepared to stop and be mindful of the detours in place.
