TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Police Department has shut down north and southbound lanes of NE HK Dodgen Loop near Lavendusky Drive following an accident on Thursday, April 25.
According to Temple Fire, crews responded to the report of a crash around 7:59 a.m. Upon arrival, fire crews discovered that a trash truck, two tractor trailers and three cars were involved in the accident.
Temple Fire says three people were taken to the hospital with reportedly non-life threatening injuries.
According to Temple Fire, crews began clearing the roadway. However, there was large amounts of oil and car fluids on the road, so Grones Environmental was called to help with the clean up.
Police say this closure is expected to last around three hours.
The Department asks that drivers seek an alternate route.
