KILLEEN, Texas — A milling and overlay project will cause various lane closures in Killeen, TX beginning on Jan. 10, according to the City of Killeen.
The City's Department of Public Works' Transportation division will reportedly conduct asphalt overlay and milling services from Wednesday, Jan. 10 to Wednesday, Jan. 24 on multiple roads in the city.
Work will take place on Reese Creek Road from Bunny Trail to Ivy Mountain Road, and all of Yates Road, Burk Drive and Laura Drive, said the City.
The City of Killeen said street closures will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily with roads only being open to local residents and traffic during that time. Entire road closures may also reportedly occur during the project. Work schedules are based on the weather, said the City, and are subject to change.
Traffic control devices will be in place to guide drivers around the work zone and closures, according to the City. Drivers are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
The City of Killeen apologized for any inconvenience caused by the work. Inquiries about the project can be made to the Transportation office at 254-616-3153 or by email at nwaddington@killeentexas.gov.
