WACO, Texas — The video above was posted March 2021.
If you've ever wondered about the progress of the Interstate 35 widening project, now you have your answer.
On Thursday, the City of Waco released on Facebook aerial images of the widening project, showing the progress near the Baylor University Campus and University Parks Drive.
"It takes patience from all of us, but it will be worth it, as we make it easier to access Waco," the city said in the post.

Construction on the interstate began in April 2019 with a projected cost of $341 million. The project includes widening the main lanes to four lanes in each direction and improving frontage roads and interchanges from 12th Street to North Loop 340.
Expect more lane closures, however. TxDOT told 6 News in March that it is at about the halfway mark.
