Motorcyclist dies after crashing into Jeep in Killeen, police say

Police said 25-year-old Yorluis Cruz was riding his Suzuki motorcycle when he crashed into a Jeep SUV that was right in front of him.

KILLEEN, Texas — A motorcyclist is dead after he crashed into another vehicle in Killeen Wednesday, according to the Killeen Police Department.

In a news release, police said 25-year-old Yorluis Cruz was riding his Suzuki motorcycle when he crashed into a Jeep SUV that was right in front of him near the 4900 block of South Clear Creek Road.

Cruz was reportedly speeding, which caused him to crash into the Jeep from behind, police said.

Police were called out to the crash around 1 a.m. Cruz died from his injuries about an hour later, police said.

No other information was released.
