Water line installation in Killeen to cause roads to temporarily close

The closure will run from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., according to an announcement from the city.

KILLEEN, Texas — The City of Killeen has announced that crews will be closing a stretch of road to install new water lines on Wednesday, July 10.

From 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. that day, Highland Avenue at Rev. R.A. Abercrombie Drive and the northbound turning lane of R.A. Abercrombie onto Longview Drive will close so crews can work. The closure is weather permitting.

Traffic control devices to guide drivers in the area will be in place, according to the city. Inquiries should be made to the City of Killeen Transportation Office at 254-501-6319.

Drivers are advised to stay alert while navigating the area, consider alternate routes, and obey all traffic control devices that will be set up.
