Killeen man identified as victim in deadly-hit-and-run earlier this month

Killeen PD said it is still looking for the vehicle that struck and killed the 38-year-old.

KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department identified the victim of a deadly hit-and-run that happened earlier this month.

According to police, the 38-year-old victim, identified as Kevin Roderick Gordon II, was crossing the street near the 3100 block of South Fort Hood Street on Oct. 3 when a SUV going northbound struck him.

When police arrived to the scene of the incident, Gordon was found laying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead a short time later, Killeen PD said.

Killeen PD said it is still looking for the vehicle that struck Gordon. Police described the vehicle to be grayish/black with front-end damage and broken headlight.

Police also ask if anyone knows about the hit-and-run to call their offices or Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS.
