KILLEEN, Texas — Starting on Monday, there will be a lane closure coming to a stretch of road in Killeen.
According to the city, the engineering division will close the far-right outside (eastbound) lane of Elms Road between Robinett Road and Tallwood Drive starting so a contractor can perform boring. The closure is projected to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, provided there are no delays due to weather.
The city says the closure is not a project sponsored by them, but the contractor has the needed permits to do the work.
Traffic will be guided around the work site by contractors. Drivers should expect a longer commute and are asked to be cautious and obey traffic signs, as the workers will need to enter the roadway to complete the job.
