Highway 6 in Marlin reopened after early morning collision involving two 18 wheelers

The Falls County Sheriff's Office says one person was taken to the hospital with leg injuries and burns, but is expected to recover.

MARLIN, Falls County — A fiery crash involving two 18 wheelers occurred early Wednesday morning on Highway 6 in Marlin.

Video that caught the crash stated the accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. The northbound lane was shut down while first responders worked on the crash site, but reopened as of 11:30 a.m., according to the Falls County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office says one person involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with leg injuries and burns but is expected to recover.

Two 18-wheelers collided while heading northbound on Highway 6 in Marlin this morning. One of the 18-wheelers was fully engulfed in flames. The accident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The northbound lane of Highway 6 was shut down.
