Construction crews to perform micro-surfacing in Robinson starting in September

The city says any cars, trailers, or sports equipment in the street need to be moved while the work is being done.

ROBINSON, Texas — Construction crews in Robinson will be performing micro-surfacing in a part of town starting Tuesday, Sept. 3.

According to the city, the micro-surfacing will be performed on Lux Drive from Highway 77 to the east end of the road, and will go on until Thursday, Sept. 5. Cars, trailers, or sports equipment will need to be removed from the street where the micro-surfacing is being done.

The city says the work is to "extend the life of the existing road and to provide a more durable and smooth finish." Residents are also asked to limit travel and avoid sudden stops, turns and acceleration on Lux Drive while crews are working.

Alternative routes utilizing Brint Lane and Adrian Drive will be available to drivers while the road work is being done.

Residents are also advised to be cautious and watch out for equipment and workers during this time.
