UMHB volleyball coach resigns to take D1 job

Rob Frost went 192-66 in eight seasons in Belton.

BELTON, Texas — UMHB will have a new head volleyball coach on its sideline come this fall.

Rob Frost resigned Wednesday after eight seasons at UMHB, in order to take the same position at Division 1 Gardner Webb in North Carolina.

Frost went 192-66 in eight seasons at UMHB, winning conference titles in 2014 and 2018 and guiding the Crusaders to three Division III national tournaments, including a 28-5 mark which got the Crusaders to the NCAA Regional Finals in 2018.

Prior to UMHB, Frost went 25-11 in one season as the head coach at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi.

The UMHB athletic department announced it will immediatly begin the search for a new volleyball coach, with 11 expected returning letter winners, including all of its starters from the 2018 roster.
