WACO, Texas — The No.16 Baylor Bears football team had one of their biggest matchups of the season as they took on the University of Texas.
The Bears came away with a 31-24 victory after trailing 21-10.
Gerry Bohanon threw an uncharacteristic two interceptions in the first half and Texas went into the half up 14-10.
It was strong second half play and 21 unanswered points that got Baylor back into the game after their slow start.
Bijan Robinson began the scoring in the third quarter with a 1-yard rush, but the Longhorns went silent after that.
Robinson was held to just 43 yards and 2.5 yards per carry for the day, his worst performance of the year.
Baylor scored on three straight drives after the Robinson touchdown with a Bohanon 6-yard scramble, Ben Sims 1-yard rush, and a 32-yard backbreaker from Abram Smith to put the game on ice.
Smith led the Baylor offense with 113 rushing yards and a score.
The Bears are now 7-1 and head to TCU next Saturday with no scheduled kick time as of Saturday evening.
