ARLINGTON, Texas — It's an in-state Monday Night Football match-up. The Dallas Cowboys are taking on the Houston Texans at AT&T Stadium, where they've yet to win a game this season.

In the six times the two teams have met, the Cowboys hold a 4-2 advantage over Houston. Tonight, that appears likely to change. The Texans are a 6-4 team leading the AFC South, hungry for a win after two straight losses at the hands of the Lions and Jets. The Cowboys are 3-6, winless at home and in a race for last place in the NFC East, only bested by the 2-8 Giants.

Injuries also favor the Texans, who are without just two defensive linemen and a member of the O-line. Meanwhile, Dallas is without starting quarterback Dak Prescott, who was placed on IR, and two cornerbacks.

The Cowboys will likely rely on Cooper Rush in Dak's place with some help from Trey Lance. In his first game starting against the Eagles, Rush threw just 45 yards with 13 completions and 23 attempts. Lance, playing backup in that game, didn't hold up much better, throwing an interception in just six attempts.

Still, with such a small sample size, judging either quarterback thrust into the shoes of the highest-paid QB in the league would be jumping the gun. If either backup wants to prove themselves, this is the game to do so.

Despite a favorable outlook for the Texans, this is still an event of a game. These teams are a four-hour car ride away from each other but will meet tonight for just the seventh time in 22 years.
