Texas A&M reveals all black jerseys ahead of 2024 season

While the jerseys have notable differences from previously worn black jerseys in 2012 and 2015, it's still a nice addition to this year's uniform apparel rotation.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A new uniform color combination will be added to Texas A&M football's jersey rotation.

Announced late at night on Wednesday, Aug. 14, the new color scheme is a deviation from A&M's longtime Maroon and White combination that the Aggies have made so many appearances in over the years.

Despite the excitement that the creative team is being allowed to bring out new ideas for the first time in what feels like a long time, no details about possible helmet alternative designs were shown.

Alternate uniform combinations have been seldom, but there are a few past games where the team has elected to be creative in their uniform designs and color schemes. In 2012 and 2015, A&M sported black jerseys in their games against Mississippi State and South Carolina respectively.

While the dates of when Texas A&M will be sporting their new black-out uniforms haven't been officially revealed, the Texas Aggie Bookstore appears to have accidentally leaked at least one of the dates, which will be on Oct. 26 when the LSU Tigers come to town.

The Aggies are set to open up their 2024 season in primetime against Notre Dame on Aug. 31.
