MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Baylor used a first-half offensive explosion to create significant separation from Colgate, leading to a 92-67 win at the NCAA Tournament's First Round.
The Bears put up 54 points in the first round against the Raiders, who allowed just under 64 points per game as a team defensively. Freshman Ja'Kobe Walter led the way with 15 in the period. He finished the game with 19 points. Jalen Bridges also had a game-high 23 points.
Baylor led by 20 at the half and maintained at least a 15-point lead throughout the second half.
They will face the winner of Clemson-New Mexico in the second round of the tournament on Sunday.
