Moody ISD’s Athletic Director, Shawn Peach announced Wednesday, May 16, 2018, that he will be moving to Waco Midway ISD to assume coaching and teaching opportunities on Coach Jeff Hulme’s coaching staff. During the past two years Coach Peach compiled an 8-13 record with one playoff appearance while serving as Moody ISD’s Head Coach / Athletic Director. Moody ISD wishes Coach Peach, wife Brianne and new baby Addy continued success in their future endeavors.
The Moody Independent School District has promoted defensive coordinator Jason Hill to Head Football Coach / Associate Athletic Director. Under Coach Hill’s defensive leadership the Bearcats have participated in the 2A state playoffs two of the last four years. Coach Hill has been with the district since 2013 as Defensive Coordinator. Coach Hill served as an assistant coach at Hutcheson Junior High school for two years before moving to Arlington High school. At Arlington High school, Coach Hill worked as the freshmen defensive coordinator for his first two years and freshmen offensive coordinator the next two. He is married to Dr. Kasandra Hill and they have two children, Augustus and Charlotte.

In other District news, Moody ISD has promoted Marty Garcia to assume the Athletic Director position for the district. Coach Garcia is beginning his second year at Moody ISD after leading the Bearcat Basketball team to a 20-9 record this past season and the state 2A playoffs.. Coach Garcia also coached football and track for Moody ISD during the 2017-2018 season. Coach Garcia has twenty-two years of coaching experience. He has served as the Athletic Coordinator at Saginaw High School (5A) and Robinson High School (4A). He was the 2013 Coach of the Year in District 6-5A. Coach Garcia has over 240 basketball wins in his varsity career. Coach Garcia has multiple postseason appearances as a basketball coach and track coach. Coach Garcia has two beautiful daughters, Bella and McKenzie, who are a 5th grader and 1st grader at BISD.
