McLennan Community College Head Softball Coach Manuel Ordones has resigned.
MCC Spokesperson Lisa Elliott confirmed Ordones' resignation was effective May 2.
Ordones had been on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation, according the school. It was not clear why he was put on paid administrative leave, nor what caused him to resign.
As head coach since 2003, Ordones led the Highlassies to two conference championships.
Assistant coach Jessica Smith was named interim Head Coach.
