McLennan Community College Head Softball Coach Manuel Ordones was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation Monday, according to Lisa Elliott, director of marketing and communications at MCC.
Ordones has been head coach since 2003 and led the Highlassies to two conference championships, four regional championships, and four national tournament trips -- two of which were back-to-back.
The Highlassies current record is 26-11. The team plays in the Region V Tournament Friday in McKinney.
MCC told Channel 6 Sports Director Nick Canizales it had no further comment on the matter Monday.
