DALLAS, Texas — In today’s Morning Playbook, Dan Quinn is leaving Dallas to become the head coach for the Washington Commanders.
The defensive coordinator transformed the Cowboys’ defense, which led the NFL in takeaways in back-to-back seasons. An accomplishment that had not been done since the 1970’s.
Now Quinn is moving on to rebuild the NFC East rivals.
BAYLOR FALLS TO TEXAS
In college hoops, Baylor women’s basketball failed to repeat their win in December against Texas.
The threes weren’t falling for the Bears, and the Longhorns win it at Foster, 67 to 55. Next up for Baylor is Houston on the road.
UIL REALIGNMENT SURPRISES
It was a day all local coaches look forward to, the UIL realignment took place yesterday for the 2024-2026 seasons.
Some notable changes include Shoemaker moving up to the 6a district 12, and will now be district rivals to schools including Temple and Killeen.
Another key change was Lorena now moving on to the 4a division 2, and now become a district rival to China Spring.
