WACO, Texas — The building was quiet, but the results spoke loudly.
Baylor held its annual NFL draft Pro Day inside the Allison Indoor Practice Facility on Tuesday.
Nine former Baylor football players worked out in front of NFL scouts Tuesday, trying to build their draft stock.
Running back Jalen Hurd ran the 40-yard dash in front of scouts for the first time since having surgery following the Texas Bowl, logging a time of 4.66 seconds. Hurd's vertical jump was 35.5 inches high, while his broad jump covered 10 feet 4 inches of ground.
Offensive lineman Black Blackmar ran a 5.29-second 40. Additionally, he had a 26.5 inch vertical jump and a 8 foot 9 inch broad jump.
Scouts measured punter Drew Galitz's height and weight, however, he did not run or jump for scouts.
Offensive lineman Patrick Lawrence and quarterback Jalen McClendon did the same, however, McClendon threw for scouts. McClendon's also threw in front of scouts at NC State's Pro Day earlier this spring.
Defensive end Greg Roberts ran an impressive 4.73-second 40, and had a broad jump at an even 10 feet.
