WACO, Texas — For the first time since 2018, not a single Baylor Bear was taken off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft. But, that doesn't mean a shot at playing in the league was out of reach.
Surprisingly Baylor's own Gabe Hall was one of those guys left on the board, after ESPN ranked him as a top 140 player.
But one team took notice of his skills, as Hall finally received the call as an undrafted free agent for the Philadelphia Eagles.
This season, Hall had 18 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble for the Bears.
At the Senior Bowl and NFL combine, he continued to turn heads and under new D-Line coach, Clint Hurtt, Hall could be a major boom for Philly.
Some other Bears have also been signed as undrafted free agents.
It's Viva Las Vegas for two studs in the green and gold as offensive lineman Clark Barrington and defensive lineman TJ Franklin both head to the Raiders.
A Fort Worth native is getting to stay in the Lone Star State, because Byron Vaughns is officially a Dallas Cowboy. His athleticism off the edge and sacks on the quarterback definitely could be a big-time weapon for the boys next season.
